By News Desk
This is Mayor Ding’s first term as Mayor since becoming Councilmember in April 2020. Mayor Ding has been a resident of San Gabriel for more than 15 years and established his first business in the City 25 years ago. Mayor Ding’s priorities include economic development, infrastructure improvement, and increasing governmental transparency for the City of San Gabriel.
Of the appointment, Mayor Ding said to ColoradoBoulevard.net:
I am excited to be mayor of our historic City of San Gabriel. I still want to try to reach the goals I set during my campaign two years ago; economic development, improve our infrastructure and transparency in governing.
I was pleased with the transparency during our selection process of two new city councilmembers.
I want to thank the City Councilmembers and the Community for trusting me to be their Mayor. I also want to thank the Press for covering the city of San Gabriel.
The City Council also appointed John Harrington as Vice Mayor of San Gabriel. Vice Mayor Harrington has been on the Council since 2011 and has been actively involved in many community organizations.
