Thursday’s Summer in San Gabriel Concert and Movie Cancelled; Art in Park Relocated

This Thursday’s Summer Concert and Movie at Vincent Lugo Park has been cancelled.

Although current air quality conditions in San Gabriel remain within healthy levels and there is no direct threat to the City from the Boyle Heights warehouse fire, air quality conditions can change throughout the day as smoke patterns shift. To prioritize the health and comfort of our community, particularly children, older adults, and individuals with respiratory sensitivities, the City has decided to postpone the Concert and Movie at Vincent Lugo Park scheduled for June 25.

The Art in the Park program, scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm on June 25, will be relocated indoors to the Grapevine Room at the Adult Recreation Center, located at 324 S Mission Drive.

Residents can still enjoy the Santana Tribute Band when they perform at National Night Out in the Mission District on August 4.

The City stated that they appreciate public understanding as they continue to monitor regional conditions and make decisions with public safety in mind.
