Through Measure R, Metro has provided $700,000 dollars to provide 30 new signal cabinets at major intersections in the city of San Gabriel.
By Cheryl Cabot
The cabinet will be maintained by the San Gabriel City Works Department.
The new cabinets offer the latest technology including remote programing, traffic monitoring and synchronization with other cities throughout LA County. There is also battery backup in case power goes out in the city. The result of these upgrades will be better traffic flow and safer roads.
