A collaboration among some of Pasadena’s strongest community organizations has made the Third Annual Dena Community Backpack Giveaway bigger than ever. The event will take place Sunday, August 2, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium.

Hosted at the Rose Bowl Stadium in partnership with The Rose Bowl Institute, Neighborhood Servants, Pasadena Educational Foundation, and Project Passion, the giveaway brings together community organizations, educational partners, and one of Pasadena’s most recognizable landmarks to support local families as students prepare for the new school year.
By combining several previously separate backpack giveaway events, organizers have created a larger, more accessible distribution for families in need. Parents and guardians can register their students through Eventbrite.
In addition to free backpacks, the event will feature community resource tables, family activities, and interactive experiences. Attendees will also have the rare opportunity to enjoy activities inside one of the nation’s most historic sports venues.
