      GUEST OPINION

moving lights in skyIf you believe people are fundamentally good, you are certain to be disappointed.

      By Thom Hawkins

But if you believe they are fundamentally bad, you will find solace when someone is good.

Actually, humans are both; they create and they destroy, but the destructive ultimately prevails because that is the way of the cosmos. The cosmos creates in order to have something to destroy, which could explain why it keeps expanding. The voracious cosmic appetite causes creation to lag behind. Nevertheless, death demands birth. For example, the Great Dying 233 million years ago was followed by the creation of the rich ecosystem we have been abusing as we aggressively move into another Great Dying.

According to Dr. Guy McPherson, this will be the eighth Great Dying. It’s a wild, grim ride, but something will follow. Everything is as it should be. The cosmos makes no mistakes.
