Creating Leadership Among Parents/ Creando Liderazgo Entre Los Padres

It takes a village to raise a child, as the saying goes, and an online workshop series is offering that much-needed support to concerned parents, especially Latino families seeking to better understand the systems available to help their children.

      By Melanie Hooks

The organization Creating Leadership Among Parents/Creando Liderazgo Entre Los Padres has opened registration for its popular PEARL workshop—Proactive Early Assessment & Resources for Latinos—which will run Tuesdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm throughout May.

The spring series is designed for English-speaking participants. A second series, offered in Spanish, will run in the same time slot throughout September.

The workshops provide guidance for parents who want to better understand the resources available to support their children, including early assessment of learning and developmental skills. They also offer strategies to help parents address and close early developmental gaps. The program is open to all families.

Taller disponible para familias que deseen aprender sobre el desarrollo infantil, cómo apoyar a sus hijos y los servicios de intervención temprana del Centro Regional. Taller ofrecido en Septiembre en Español. Abierto a todas las familias.
