Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger expressed shock and sadness after a tragic helicopter crash involving members of the NBC4 and Telemundo communities.

“My heart goes out to everyone affected by this devastating loss, especially the families, friends, and colleagues of those who lost their lives,” Barger said in a statement issued today.
She extended her deepest condolences to the NBC4 community during what she described as an incredibly difficult time.
Longtime aerial journalist Eliana Moreno and veteran pilot George Marciniw were aboard the helicopter when it crashed. Both died in the accident, along with a person on the ground.
