Starting May 24, 2021. the Friends of the South Pasadena Library will resume accepting donations during the time the Library is open to the public.
- Small donations of books can be brought to the front door of the Library at 1100 Oxley Street.
- Larger donations can be dropped off at the Library’s side employee entrance on Fairview. The items should be boxed or bagged and placed on a bench located outside the door. The entryway should not be blocked.
- Those with a greater number of books to donate should call the Library in advance at (626) 403-7340.
The Friends of the South Pasadena Library volunteers sell the donated books at the Bookstore, which is located on the second floor of the Library. Proceeds from the sales are used to fund Library purchases that are not possible with its current budget.
Both the Bookstore and the Library have been closed to the public for more than a year. This was caused by the pandemic and the subsequent shutdown orders. Donations have not been accepted until now.
