On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the SPHS Instrumental Music Program held a dedication ceremony for the new semi-trailer that can hold all the equipment for the Marching Band.
By News Desk
A group of more than 60 community members celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony, performances by the Marching Band, and refreshments. The new semi-trailer can transport all of the equipment, uniforms, and props for the band and color guard to band competitions and performances. The trailer allows for safer and more efficient loading and unloading and a state-of-the-art hoist to lift heavier items onto the hand built, second level.
On October 7, the SPHS Marching Band traveled to Hacienda Heights for their first competition using the new trailer. Future competitions will take place at Chino Hills, Chino, and Trabuco Hills, before the SPHS Band heads to Elk Grove and Sacramento for the Western Band Association’s Championships in November.
