On Friday, August 11, 2023, South Pasadena Unified School District (SPUSD) welcomed eighteen new certificated staff members during a New Teacher Orientation held in the boardroom at the District Office.

SPUSD Board President Patricia Martinez-Miller, along with Superintendent Geoff Yantz and District leadership team members, extended a warm welcome to the new educators.
The orientation and training, led by Interim Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Kim Sinclair and Administrator of Programs and Personnel Services Katy Nielsen, included team building activities to help prepare them and provide motivation for the school year.
