South Pasadena Unified School District celebrated the dedication and service of its employees during a recognition ceremony held Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the District Office. The event highlighted the district’s ongoing commitment to honoring those who support students each day.

This year, SPUSD named its District Teacher of the Year and recognized five school‑site Teachers of the Year, along with two Oneonta Teachers of the Year. Nearly 70 employees were also celebrated for reaching milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service.
In addition to service awards, four employees who recently announced their retirements were acknowledged for their years of dedication and their lasting contributions to the South Pasadena community. District leaders extended their gratitude and warm wishes, offering heartfelt congratulations and best of luck in retirement.
