The City of South Pasadena Community Services Department is inviting residents to a family‑friendly Soccer Watch Party on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Garfield Park, 1000 Park Avenue.
By News Desk
The outdoor gathering will feature a live broadcast of the USA vs. Paraguay match, offering an evening of shared excitement for families, neighbors, and soccer fans.
The event aims to bring the community together through recreation and national team spirit. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and their favorite team gear to enjoy the game in a relaxed park setting. Alongside the match, the celebration may include family games, live music, community booths, and a variety of food vendors.
“This watch party is about more than the game,” said Mayor Sheila Rossi. “It’s about celebrating the diversity and community spirit that makes our city special.”
The event is free and open to the public. Because parking near Garfield Park may be limited, organizers encourage visitors to walk, bike, carpool, or use rideshare options.
