A Los Angeles man was arrested last Friday night after South Pasadena police responded to a reported residential burglary in the 1400 block of Fair Oaks Avenue.

      By News Desk

According to the South Pasadena Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 10:35 pm on May 2, 2026, after receiving a report of a burglary that had just occurred.

Officers arrived at the scene and launched an investigation. Police obtained surveillance footage of the suspect and distributed the images to responding units.

A short time later, officers located and detained an individual matching the suspect’s description. Authorities said the suspect was found in possession of property reported stolen during the burglary.

Following further investigation, police arrested 46-year-old Peter Crosby of Los Angeles. A records check revealed Crosby was on Post-Release Community Supervision and had an active felony parole warrant related to burglary, according to authorities.

Crosby was booked into the Pasadena City Jail on burglary charges. The case will be submitted to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.

Anyone with additional information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the South Pasadena Police Department at (626) 403-7265. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
