Bill Suter is a proud 101-year-old World War II Navy Veteran. He was born in New York in 1922, raised in New Jersey, and moved to California after the war. Bill is a well-known community member in South Pasadena. For many years he volunteered with the South Pasadena Public Library where he was honored as Co-Volunteer of the Year, and he assisted the South Pasadena Senior Center, delivering meals to homebound seniors until the COVID-19 pandemic caused the program to stop utilizing volunteers.
Bill walks a mile every day, continues to be active in civic affairs, takes a proactive interest in politics, and still travels across the country and internationally at least once a year.
The City of South Pasadena hopes you will join them in honoring Bill Suter as our 2023 Grand Marshal of their Historic Festival of Balloons Fourth of July parade.
