Summer temperatures have arrived, and with them comes a season of outdoor entertainment in South Pasadena. The City’s annual summer series at Garfield Park, located at 1000 Park Ave., will kick off with live music on Sunday, June 28, at 5:00 pm.

The City’s Concerts in the Park series will feature four free performances on select Sundays throughout the summer from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs to enjoy evenings of music with family and friends.
The 2026 concert lineup includes:
- June 28: OC Groove Band performing funk, soul, and rock and roll
- July 26: Y2K2K featuring music from the 2000s
- August 2: Sangria performing Latin music
- August 16: New Romantics, a Taylor Swift tribute band
“The summer season is a special time in South Pasadena, and these events give our community meaningful opportunities to gather, celebrate, and enjoy our public spaces,” said Community Services Director Melissa Snyder. “We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to Garfield Park throughout the summer.”
In addition to live music, Movies in the Park will return with two free outdoor screenings beginning at sunset. Attendees are also encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic dinners for an evening under the stars.
The movie schedule includes:
- July 10: Hoppers (2026)
- August 7: Cars (2006), celebrating the film’s 20th anniversary
