The City of South Pasadena is inviting residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day while commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States with a full day of festivities on the Fourth of July.

As communities across the nation mark the historic milestone, South Pasadena will honor 250 years of American history, community, and civic pride through events scheduled throughout the day, culminating in an evening concert and fireworks spectacular at South Pasadena High School Stadium, 1401 Fremont Ave.
The evening celebration begins with gates opening at 7:00 pm. A live concert is scheduled from 7:30 to 8:30 pm, followed by a fireworks show at 9:00 pm. Stadium gates will close promptly at 8:30 pm to allow attendees time to find seating before the lights are turned off in preparation for the fireworks display.
Admission to the stadium requires a ticket. Advance tickets are available for $15 per person online or in person at the South Pasadena Recreation Division office, 815 Mission St. Tickets purchased at the gate will cost $20 per person. Children ages 2 and under are admitted free.
The city’s Independence Day celebration begins at 7:00 am with the Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast at the South Pasadena Fire Station, 817 Mound Ave.
The Opening Ceremony will take place at 10:30 am on the steps of the South Pasadena Public Library Community Room, 1115 El Centro St., followed by the annual Fourth of July Parade at 11:00 am. The parade route will travel along Mission Street from Diamond Avenue to Garfield Park.
Following the parade, festivities will continue at Garfield Park, 1000 Park Ave., where families can enjoy food vendors, games, community entertainment, and other activities until 2:00 pm.
