This free, family-friendly event is designed to empower residents with the knowledge and tools needed to handle emergencies. The event will feature live fire safety demonstrations, emergency preparedness education, and item giveaways to help families build their own emergency kits.

A key feature of the event will be the Action Plan Workshops, led by Alison Yam of Girl Scout Troop 2131. These 45-minute sessions, offered at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, will walk participants through creating personalized emergency plans tailored to their households.

In addition to the workshops, attendees will have the chance to meet with local police and fire officials, ask questions, and receive important safety tips from first responders.

“Emergency preparedness is essential for every family to ensure safety and peace of mind during unexpected situations,” said Greg Lloyd, Chief of the South Pasadena Fire Department. “This event is a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together, learn life-saving skills, and take proactive steps toward readiness.”

Whether you’re looking to improve your family’s emergency readiness or simply enjoy a fun, educational afternoon, this event offers something for everyone.
