South Pasadena City Council voted unanimously on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 to extend the 45-Day Moratorium on No Fault Just Cause Evictions.
By News Desk
The moratorium had been set to expire on July 1, 2023.
The Moratorium was extended to 6 months with the intention of using that time to further examine the potential of enacting a permanent ordinance to eliminate substantial renovation as a no fault just cause eviction.
Staff have been directed by the City Council to do more research on a potential mediation program, and to provide data on tenant protections in the region and economic impact.
