Concept designs are due Jan. 26, 2024 for South Pasadena’s float that will participate in the next Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, January 1, 2025.

“Celebrate Life’s Special Moments” is next year’s Rose Parade theme.
“I encourage the community to get creative and help us design another award-winning float,” said Ed Donnelly, South Pasadena Tournament of Roses president. This year’s South Pasadena float, “Boogie Fever,” won the Founder’s Award in the Rose Parade.
A simple drawing is all that is required, as this is the “concept” stage of the design. The sketch must be in black and white in pencil or pen on paper no larger than 8.5” x 11”. Multiple submissions are permitted. Design concepts will be judged based on relevance to the parade theme, practicality, and popular appeal.
The entry and release form can be found at sptor.org/Volunteer. The completed document can be mailed to the South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Design Committee, P.O. Box 3662, South Pasadena, CA 91031. It can be delivered or mailed to the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, 1121 Mission St., South Pasadena, CA 91030.
Entries must be postmarked by Jan. 26, or received by the Chamber by 5:00 pm on Jan 26, 2024.
