By mutual agreement, the South Pasadena City Council and the City Manager, Arminé Chaparyan, have agreed to end Chaparyan’s employment as of July 2, 2024.

The City Council has accepted Ms. Chaparyan’s resignation, and it has approved a separation and release agreement by a vote of 5-0. The Council thanked Ms. Chaparyan for her service to the City and wished her well in her future endeavors.
Chaparyan said: “I thank the City Council for affording me the opportunity to serve this community positively, and I am grateful to have worked with such a great team of dedicated public professionals.”
“Selection of a permanent City Manager is the top priority of the Council,” added Mayor Zneimer. “The City Council appreciates the hard work of all its employees, and we are confident that together we will continue to move the City forward.”
The City Council appointed Chief of Police Brian Solinsky and Community Services Director Sheila Pautsch as Co-Acting City Managers by a vote of 5-0, effective immediately.
