Owners of Bodegon No. 69 open Loli Farms, offering authentic South American comfort foods in Pasadena.

Mauricio Vincenzi and his partner Sandra Loli experienced so great a success with Bodegon No. 69 in Old Pasadena that they decided to create an eatery/market designed as a platform for artisans to “bring dreams from the minds of South Americans” into reality as they remember with great affection their abuelas’ comfort foods and recreate them. Thus, the inspiration and creation of Loli Farms.
The main star of the show is their wood-fire rotisserie chicken, available whole, halved, or sliced, served freshly roasted and succulent. Salads and other sides are available for an entire meal, either for take-out or eating in. Local ingredients used by local artisans create the items available at Loli’s market: breads, cheese, chili sauces, jams, cookies, and ice cream.
Although born in Argentina, Mauricio has a special connection with Southern California. His parents met while working for Steve McQueen, as did many other immigrants from South America who found work with movie stars. He met his partner Sandra while working in a Glendale restaurant, and they soon bonded to create Bodegon No. 69. Their firm belief in lifting up others in the culinary arts prompted them to open Loli Farms to ensure that authentic dishes from their homelands remain relevant and accessible.
Colorado Boulevard’s own food critic Julia McWilliams reviewed Bodegon favorably in its November 2023 edition (she loves their empanadas!) and will no doubt be anxious to try the many delights to be found at Loli Farms when it opens at the end of this month. Stay tuned for her upcoming review!
