Even as the United States government continues to push for the use of more chemically-intensive and corporate-dominated farming methods such as GMOs and monoculture-based crops, the United Nations is once again sounding the alarm about the urgent need to return to (and develop) a more sustainable, natural and organic system.
That was the key point of a publication from the UN Commission on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), which included contributions from more than 60 experts around the world.

Recently watched the documentary “To Make a Farm”. It showed the romance, sweat, rewards and grief of working with nature to produce food. Beautiful looking food. The problem is, as anyone who’s tried it knows, the food you’re growing isn’t only for your paying customers. It’s also for the insects, rabbits, dear, rodents, fungus, and many diseases your crop is feeding. In other words, your farm lives and dies by nature.
