Six Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) schools have been recognized by the California PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Coalition for their outstanding commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments.

For the 2024-25 school year, the California PBIS Coalition honored schools that have successfully implemented systems to improve student behavior, increase engagement, and promote positive student outcomes. This year, PUSD proudly celebrates six schools that were named among the top in the state for their exceptional work in fostering environments that support the success of every student.
The schools receiving recognition are:
- Platinum Award: John Muir Early College Magnet High School
- Gold Award: Madison Elementary, Blair High School, Rose City High School
- Silver Award: Altadena Arts Magnet Elementary, Sierra Madre Elementary
These awards acknowledge the schools’ ongoing efforts to integrate positive behavioral strategies, enhance school culture, and provide students with the tools to succeed both academically and socially. Through their implementation of PBIS, these schools have shown a deep commitment to creating inclusive, welcoming spaces for all students.
The California PBIS Coalition’s recognition further solidifies PUSD’s standing among California’s top educational institutions, underscoring the district’s continued dedication to improving student outcomes through innovative and supportive programs.
