For 2022 Sierra Madre Honors Two Public Service Employees.
By News Desk
The City of Sierra Madre announced the selection of the 2022 Public Service Employee of the Year. This award is for a City employee that consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty; someone that performs their duties with excellence and humility. This year the City made the decision to bestow the title of Public Service Employee of the Year on two very deserving employees; Damien Doperoy and Joshua Wolf.
Damien Doperoy
Damien Doperoy joined the City of Sierra Madre in 2021 as the City’s Maintenance Worker and quickly made himself invaluable. Damien quickly worked his way up and now oversees building and maintenance for all City facilities, including the new Public Safety building (former Bank of America building). Damien is described by his colleagues as hard-working, dependable, and above all, very kind. Damien is always willing to roll-up his sleeves and help wherever there is a need.
Joshua Wolf
Joshua Wolf joined the City of Sierra Madre as an intern and very early on demonstrated his love and dedication for his work. He’s currently the City’s Associate Planner in the Community and Preservation Department. You will often see Josh working with residents, business owners, architects, and contractors at City Hall. Josh has worked on the City’s General Plan, Housing Element, Municipal Code compliance, and a number of other big projects. Josh has a strong work ethic and his knowledge of urban planning makes him a valuable resource to Sierra Madre.
Both Mr. Wolf and Mr. Doperoy will be recognized at the City’s Annual Honor’s Awards Reception on April 19, 2023.
