Sierra Madre Councilmember, Denise Delmar, will resign from City Council effective October 23, 2019.
At the October 8th Council meeting, Delmar announced her resignation for personal reasons related to the care of her family.
Councilmember Delmar said:
It has been a privilege to serve the residents of Sierra Madre, work with the amazing City staff, and serve with my esteemed colleagues on the Council. Sierra Madre will always have a special place in my heart.
Mayor John Harabedian said:
We are sad to see her go, and will miss her perspective, but wish her and her family the best.
Denise Delmar
Council Member Delmar was first elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. She was appointed Mayor of Sierra Madre in April 2018 and served as Mayor until April 2019. Council Member Delmar currently represents Sierra Madre on the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and in the past, has served as Chair for the Sierra Madre General Plan Update Steering Committee.
A reception will be held for Councilmember Delmar on October 22, 2019, at 6:30 pm during the Sierra Madre City Council meeting.
