A rapidly evolving era of transportation is prompting new questions about how we move, and who will build the technologies that power that movement.

To help the public make sense of these changes, the Coalition for Clean Air will host a free virtual roundtable, “The Future of Green Vehicle Technology,” on Thursday, April 16 at 12:00 pm.
The conversation will center on one of the most pressing challenges in the clean‑tech transition: developing a skilled workforce capable of supporting zero‑emission and advanced clean vehicle technologies as they scale. Organizers say that as innovation accelerates, preparing workers to design, build, and maintain these systems is essential for achieving long‑term environmental and economic gains.
The event brings together leaders from academia, industry, and the nonprofit sector. Featured speakers include Prof. David Blekhman of California State University, Los Angeles; JoAnne Golden of TRC Companies; and Terry Tamminen of AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles. Each will share insights on emerging technologies, shifting workforce needs, and new opportunities to train the next generation of clean‑transportation professionals.
Coalition for Clean Air President & CEO Dr. Joe Lyou will also participate in the discussion.
The roundtable is open to all, and attendees can register online.
