It is time for the annual SantaCon, Los Angeles edition, the subculture Christmas event you did not know it existed.
By Vahe Simonyan
SantaCon LA will take place on Saturday, December 09 in Downtown L.A. (details here).
The first SantaCon took place in 1994 in San Francisco, and since then it has gone global with events coast to coast and in 44 countries.
The biggest event is in New York City with around 30,000 Santas participating, but Los Angeles is catching up with more than 900 participants in recent years according to organizers.

For the fifth year in a row, we have the chance to participate in the Los Angeles SantaCon, along with many individuals dressed up as Santa and Mrs. Clause, elf or reindeer. Most attendees always end up barhopping in the city.
This is a full day event, from morning to night, filled with fun and joy (see photos below from few years back.) As usual, we will cover it throughout the day on our Instagram feed so stay tuned.
See you at SantaCon!
