Zero Degrees Celsius Shows Off Its New Spring Line for Women
As the weather changes, so does Jerry Chen’s fashion line at Zero Degrees Celsius. Gorgeous florals now line his windows, and brightly colored dresses abound in his incredible shop. Jerry designs most of the garments, with an emphasis on beauty and wearability. He describes his clothing as dressy casual.
As he will tell you, “I create beautiful clothes for everyone. Fashion-forward, wearable clothing for all ages.” Many of his design interpretations are reminiscent of the orchid flower – petal shapes and stunning colors. He is one of the few designers who is conscientious about fashion for women of all ages. His collection includes dresses, pants, blouses, sweaters, jackets, and more.
His philosophy is “If you dress a little younger, you will be happier when you go out.” I thoroughly agree!

Ghiaia: A Taste of Italia in Men’s Clothing
Visiting Davide Baroncini’s boutique is like walking into a high-end shop in Italy. Beautiful clothing is artfully displayed on tables and walls. Cashmere scarves, sweaters, blazers and coats feel like heaven itself. Gorgeous Marinaio cotton shirts, double-pleated pants, and safari jackets are on display.
Nearly all the photographs lining the walls were taken by Davide himself, who also designed the entire interior. There is also a charming bar at the rear of the store, where espresso is offered to customers.
The chief greeter is Ciro, a gorgeously lovable bulldog known affectionately as ChiChi. Nathan, the handsome and friendly salesperson, is gracious and welcoming.
Baroncini initially worked with fashion titan Brunello Cucinelli in Italy, with whom he still collaborates. After moving to Pasadena, his wife’s hometown, he began selling primarily wholesale clothing from home. He moved to a small storefront in an arcade on Lake Avenue, and now owns this beautiful boutique on Mission in San Marino.
Ghiaia represents not only apparel but a lifestyle of ease and refinement. Stop in and you’ll see why.
