Automotive enthusiasts will have the opportunity to admire a wide range of classic and luxury vehicles when the San Marino Motor Classic returns to Lacy Park on Sunday, June 14.

      By News Desk

The event will take place from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and is recognized as the premier regional automotive exhibition in the San Gabriel Valley and one of Southern California’s leading concours-level automotive showcases.

The San Marino Motor Classic follows the tradition of Concours d’Elegance competitions, which originated in 17th-century France. The term translates literally to “competition of elegance.” The exhibitions gained popularity in the United States during the mid-20th century and continue to celebrate automotive design, craftsmanship and preservation.

Among the most notable Concours d’Elegance events in the country are the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, Meadow Brook in Michigan, Amelia Island in Florida and the Louis Vuitton Classic in New York.

Admission is $45 in advance and $50 on the day of the event. Children ages 12 and younger are admitted free. Organizers note that ticket purchases are non-refundable.
