San Marino Unified Schools has announced that Adelynne Yang, a senior at San Marino High School, has been awarded the 2026 National Merit $2,500 Scholarship.

Adelynne Yang was selected from more than 15,000 finalists nationwide. According to the announcement, she earned the scholarship based on her accomplishments, skills, and demonstrated potential for success in rigorous college-level studies.
Officials also explained that students typically become eligible for the National Merit program during their junior year by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which serves as the program’s initial qualifying assessment.
The district is encouraging the community to join in celebrating her achievement.
