A free day out, and the satisfaction of being a good companion to older members of the community, this volunteer opportunity is a win-win.

Looking for a fun way to give back? Join the City of San Gabriel as a volunteer for its monthly day trips for older adults and help make each outing a memorable experience.
The city is looking for kind, reliable volunteers to accompany participants, assist with check-in and check-out, and ride along on bus transportation.
Upcoming trips include the Newport Beach Boat Parade, the newly renovated Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), and Riley’s Farm, a working apple farm in Yucaipa known for its seasonal treats.
The volunteer commitment is generally six to eight hours per month. Volunteers will receive lunch and admission fees, along with the opportunity to enjoy new experiences while making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults.
