San Gabriel Fire Department to Hold 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

City of San Gabriel to mark 25th anniversary of 9/11 with Remembrance and Tribute Ceremony

Each year on September 11, the San Gabriel Fire Department honors the lives lost and the bravery and sacrifice of first responders with its annual 9/11 Remembrance and Tribute Ceremony.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

The community is invited to attend the observance at Fire Station 51, located at 1303 S. Del Mar Ave. The station will open at 6:30 am. San Gabriel firefighters and police officers will participate in a solemn procession, flag ceremony and traditional bell tribute.

The ceremony will follow a coordinated timeline with the Verdugo Fire Communications Center, allowing fire stations across the San Gabriel Valley to participate together.

The schedule is:

• 6:45 am – Ceremony begins
• 6:55 am – American flag raised and lowered to half-staff
• 6:59 am – Regional radio tribute and moment of silence
• 7:02 am – Final bell tribute

Miniature American flags bearing the names of fallen responders will line the station’s front lawn, serving as a lasting reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The community is invited to gather in remembrance and honor the courage, service and sacrifice of those who answered the call 25 years ago.
