San Gabriel homeowners and business owners with alarm systems are required to apply for a False Alarm Permit (SGMC 91.14).
By News Desk
As part of efforts to ensure safety and efficiency in San Gabriel, the city has enhanced its False Alarm Permit program to minimize false alarms and reduce unnecessary police responses.
The fee is $45 for the initial application and $23 per year for renewals. Three false alarm responses are covered in a 12-month period. Additional false alarms will result in a $120 fee for each instance where police officers need to respond. Without a permit, every false alarm leading to a police response will incur a $120 charge.
Applications are available in person at the Finance Department located at City Hall (425 S Mission Drive), or online at SanGabrielCity.com/1570. For inquiries or assistance, residents can reach the Finance Department at (626) 308-2812.
