San Gabriel City Restaurant Closures in the Last 60 Days

Five food establishments in San Gabriel were temporarily shut down earlier this year by Los Angeles County health inspectors due to various health code violations. All businesses have since passed re-inspection and have reopened.

According to the L.A. County Environmental Health Division, the closures occurred between January and March 2025. Four of the five facilities were closed due to vermin infestations, while one location lacked the necessary means to clean and sanitize.

The closures and reasons were as follows:

• Morning Delight Cafe
  120 N San Gabriel Blvd, Ste H
  San Gabriel
  It was closed on March 1 and reopened on March 6 due to a vermin infestation.
• Chong Qing Special Noodles
  708 E Las Tunas Dr, Ste B
  San Gabriel
  It was closed on February 9 and reopened on February 11. No reason was provided for the closure.
• Chickii
  227 W Valley Blvd #168A
  San Gabriel
  It was closed on February 4 and remained closed until March 17. The facility was cited for vermin infestation, an inspection score below 70.
• Tongnian Xiaomaibu Inc.
  317 S San Marino Ave
  San Gabriel
  This retail food market, was closed from February 4 to February 9 due to a vermin infestation.
• MACU Tea San Gabriel
  301 W Valley Blvd, Unit 107
  San Gabriel
  It was shut down on January 22 and reopened on January 28. Inspectors reported no method available to clean and sanitize, in addition to a vermin infestation.

All five establishments have since corrected the cited violations and resumed operations following successful re-inspections.

Los Angeles County health officials regularly monitor food facilities to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
