San Gabriel’s spring traditions return as Smith Park opens its gates to early risers and families for the 81st Annual Pancake Breakfast and Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4.

The beloved community event, hosted by the City of San Gabriel and the San Gabriel Kiwanis Club, will run from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
Attendees can look forward to a morning filled with family-friendly activities, including a visit from Mr. Bunny and a lineup of classic springtime festivities.
Event Schedule
- 7:00 am – Pancake breakfast begins
- 7:30 am – Coloring contest opens
- 9:00 am – Pancake races for kids ages 7–16
- 10:00 am – Egg Hunt for children 12 and under
Organizers recommend that participants bring their own baskets for the egg hunt, as well as spatulas or pancake turners for the pancake races.
The pancake breakfast will be available for a $5 donation per plate, which includes pancakes served with butter and syrup, along with a choice of juice, coffee, or milk.
