Ron Sahu has withdrawn his candidacy for the Alhambra City Council District 1 seat.

Sahu, who previously announced his campaign for the seat currently held by Councilmember Katherine Lee, said he is ending his bid for office.
“For personal reasons, I decided to withdraw from the race,” Sahu said.
Sahu had announced his candidacy after highlighting his longtime residency in Alhambra, service on the city’s Planning Commission and Environmental Sustainability Commission, and involvement in local community and land-use issues.
The District 1 election is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026.
