The Board of Directors and the entire staff of The Wallis announced the appointment of Robert van Leer as new Executive Director & CEO.

Robert van Leer will join on April 1st, and “is very much looking forward to meeting all of you in person at an upcoming performance or visit,” according to a statement by The Wallis.
Robert van Leer most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Artistic Planning for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., for over seven years. Prior to The Kennedy Center, he led a boutique strategic cultural arts consultancy firm based in London. Robert also served as the managing director of the Nederlands Dans Theater in The Hague and was Head of Music and Arts Projects at the Barbican Center in London. Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Robert currently resides in the Netherlands and is looking forward to his move to Los Angeles.
