Robbins Brothers hosted its exclusive “Gentleman’s Vault” event on Thursday, June 11, at its new prototype flagship showroom in Pasadena, located at 587 E. Colorado Blvd.

      By Rena Kurlander

The invitation-only evening marked the third signature event of the year for the legacy jeweler, following its Marchtini event in March and a special Mother’s Day celebration in partnership with nonprofit 4th Trimester.

Held inside Robbins Brothers’ headquarters space in Pasadena, the Gentleman’s Vault event took place in a historic 8,000-square-foot landmark building constructed in 1928. The venue featured a grand entrance, 30-foot coffered ceilings, ornate chandeliers, and wall murals by 1920s Impressionist painter Alson S. Clark. Often likened to Paris’ Versailles, the setting sits in Pasadena’s Playhouse District and served as a backdrop for an evening centered on craftsmanship, luxury, and entertainment.

The event was hosted by Ross McCall and featured live cigar rolling with Cuban Cigar Rollers, dancing, music, and custom whiskey cocktails provided by SoCal Mobile Bartenders. Culinary offerings were catered by All’Antico Vinaio from Florence, while dessert included gelato from Gelato and Angels. Live performances and dancers were presented by Grammy-nominated act Lizzy & Her Contraband.

Robbins Brothers, which traces its roots back to a single jewelry store founded in Seattle in 1921, highlighted its long-standing customer-first philosophy throughout the evening. In its early history, the brand evolved during an era that saw cultural milestones such as Charlie Chaplin films, Babe Ruth’s home run records, Coco Chanel’s introduction of Chanel No. 5, and Guccio Gucci’s early handbag sales. The company later relocated to California in the 1950s and has since grown into a multi-state retailer.

Today, Robbins Brothers operates 14 stores across Arizona, California, Texas, and Washington, along with its online presence. The Gentleman’s Vault reflects the brand’s ongoing effort to host immersive experiences that connect with local businesses, loyal clientele, and Los Angeles’ entertainment culture.

Event production for the evening was led by Lindsay Luv Creative, continuing Robbins Brothers’ series of experiential activations designed to blend luxury retail with community-focused celebrations. The company noted that additional events are planned as part of its ongoing calendar.
