Due to the hurricane and devastating winter storms that affected so many this past year, the IRS has announced a second extension of the tax deadline that would have been today, Oct. 16.
By Briony James
The new deadline is November 16, 2023, for 2022 returns.
All California counties except Shasta, Larsen and Modoc qualify for the extension, which covers individual and business taxpayers.
The returns qualified include IRA contributions and health savings accounts, 2022 quarterly returns, individual, S Corporation and partnership returns, quarterly payroll and excise tax returns and 2022 corporate and fiduciary returns. More information on qualifications for the extension and regions affected can be found on the IRS website.
