Reflections on Our Warming Planet features nine video interviews with scientists, artists and community activists, eleven filmmakers from around the world, and eighteen visual artists.
There are three components to the Exhibition: Visual Art, Video Interviews, and Short Films, both fictional and factual.
Previous showings were at the Lois Lambert Gallery in Santa Monica, LA Artcore, and Angel’s Gate Cultural Center in San Pedro.
The eighteen visual artists include: Jennifer Celio, Marina Moevs, Darlene Campbell, Hung Viet Nguyen, Sharon Allicotti, Lawrence Gipe, Lucinda Luvaas, Yvette Gellis, Oriana Poindexter, Nigella Hillgarth, Bruce Everett, Megan Frances, Doug Webb, Merrilyn Duzy, Margaret Lazzari, Ann Phong, Constance Mallinson, and Sant Khalsa.
The video interviews include: Nigella Hillgarth, a biologist and environmental advocate; James Griffith, artist; Sant Khalsa, artist; J.J. L’Heureux, explorer and photographer; Professor Alex Hall, Director of UCLA’s Center for Climate Science; Marina Moevs, artist; Joanne Julian, artist; Ron Finley, community activist; and Kim Abeles, artist.
The filmmakers include: Spencer Sharp, Prince Ea, Evelyne Tollman Werzowa, David Opdyke, Juniper Harrower, J.J. L’Heureux, Susanne Layla Petersen, Robyn Woolston, Richelle Ellis, Gabriela Tollman, Lucinda Luvaas, Labkhand Olfatmanesh, Crystal Jo Reiss, and Jess Irish.
