An embedded convective squall moving through the region tonight into Sunday morning will bring brief heavy downpours and locally damaging wind gusts, with the strongest impacts expected north of Point Conception.

Communities across the Greater Pasadena area and the San Fernando Valley will still see periods of intense rain as the system passes.
Sunday: Rain, Possible Thunderstorms, and Gusty Conditions
Rain will continue through early afternoon on Sunday, with a chance of a thunderstorm before 2:00 pm. Highs will reach near 61 degrees, accompanied by southwest winds of 5 to 10 mph and gusts up to 15 mph. The chance of precipitation stands at 100 percent, with a quarter to half an inch of new rainfall expected. Drivers across Pasadena, Burbank, Glendale, and Valley neighborhoods should prepare for slick roads and brief visibility drops during heavier bursts.
Sunday Night: Showers Tapering Off
Rain chances fall to 40 percent before 11:00 pm, followed by partly cloudy skies and lows around 46 degrees. Winds will ease from west‑southwest at 5 to 10 mph to light and variable later in the evening, with occasional gusts up to 15 mph. Only light additional rainfall, less than a tenth of an inch, is expected.
Monday: Sunshine Returns
Monday brings a noticeable shift as mostly sunny skies return to the San Gabriel Valley. Highs will reach near 61 degrees. Light morning winds will increase to 10 to 15 mph out of the west‑southwest in the afternoon, with gusts up to 20 mph. The clearer, calmer weather will help dry out the region after Sunday’s unsettled conditions.
