my only salvation

deep in
your depths
Peggy Castro lives in Alhambra, but finds her true home in our local gardens. She says “I go to the gardens to renew myself, to cleanse myself of city complications, and to find myself in the flowers and trees. It is a time of rebirth.” With her camera she captures what she can of the fleeting, ephemeral moments in the garden of her inspiration.

> The poems here are tanka, “little songs” of love to these flowers. Each five line poem is a strong moment of feeling, unique and powerful in itself. Each is a moment in the garden.
