      Walk-in workshops and in-person registration counseling sessions for Property Managers and Housing Providers are available to support and ensure compliance with local rental regulations.

      The City of Pasadena Rent Stabilization Department (RSD) announced the launch of its Rental Registry, effective Monday, September 23, 2024. The Rental Registry requires all residential rental properties subject to the Pasadena Fair & Equitable Housing Charter Amendment to be registered in 2024, ensuring compliance with local rent stabilization laws.

      The Rent Stabilization Department provides guidance to help housing providers and property managers comply with the Charter Amendment. To assist with registration, the RSD is hosting a series of in-person workshops and a webinar, offering hands-on support for the 2024 registration process. The RSD team will be available at the following locations to assist with registration:

      If you cannot attend any of the scheduled workshops, contact the Rent Stabilization Department at (626) 744-7999 to schedule an individual appointment.

      Deadline: All rental properties in Pasadena must be registered with the Rental Registry by Sunday, December 22, 2024. The Rent Stabilization Department is available to assist housing providers throughout the registration process.

      To register a unit, housing providers will need the Assessor Parcel Number (APN) and unique PIN from their registration letter, along with key details such as the unit address, exemption status, tenancy start date, initial and current rent, rent increase history, number of occupants, security deposit, unit size, included services, and contact information for the property owner and manager. If the owner is an LLC or partnership, the names of LLC members or partners will also be required.
