      The City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Latino Heritage Committee are accepting nominations for Grand Marshal and Community Grand Marshal of the 2024 Latino Heritage Parade and Festival.

      This year’s theme, “Somos Pasadena: Seguimos Floreciendo” (We are Pasadena: We Continue to Flourish), highlights the accomplishments and aspirations of the Latino community in Pasadena and beyond.

      Grand Marshal Criteria

      The nominee should be a person who has displayed outstanding service, support, and commitment to the county, state, and/or country and the betterment of the Latino Community through direct services and/or notable personal achievements. They should also be able and willing to carry out the function of the Grand Marshal, including leading the parade and attending the fundraising kickoff reception, Parade VIP Breakfast, and on-stage award ceremony on parade day.

      The nominee may not be a current City of Pasadena employee or elected official.

      Community Grand Marshal Criteria

      The nominee should be an individual who has displayed outstanding service, support, and commitment to the local community for the betterment of the Latino Community through direct services and/or notable personal achievements. They should also be able and willing to carry out the function of the Grand Marshal, including leading the parade, attending the fundraising kickoff reception, Parade VIP Breakfast, and on-stage award ceremony on parade day.

      The nominee must reside in Pasadena and may not be a current City of Pasadena employee or elected official.

      Deadline

      Nominations must be submitted online (see link) by Monday, June 17, 2024. The Pasadena Latino Heritage Parade and Festival Committee will make the final selection of the Grand Marshal and Community Grand Marshal.
