Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) has been recognized for its efforts to support zero-emission vehicle adoption, receiving the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Readiness Award from the State of California’s New Motor Vehicle Board (NMVB).

Lynne Chaimowitz, Assistant General Manager of Water and Power, announced the recognition during a Pasadena City Council meeting on June 8.
The ZEV Readiness Award recognizes California municipalities that demonstrate exceptional progress in preparing communities for the transition to zero-emission vehicles. The award is administered by the NMVB and evaluates municipalities based on several factors, including the expansion of charging infrastructure, incentives for purchasing and leasing zero-emission vehicles, public education efforts, and the implementation of innovative policies that support ZEV adoption.
PWP’s recognition highlights the department’s ongoing work to advance electric vehicle programs and resources for Pasadena residents and businesses.
