“All PUSD summer programs remain open at this time,” Dr. Blanco announced, emphasizing that campuses continue to serve as “secure, private spaces designed to protect and support our students.” She reassured families that student safety remains the district’s top priority.

Acknowledging the emotional strain recent events may have caused, PUSD is encouraging families who need flexibility to reach out directly to summer program administrators or teachers. Support is also available for students experiencing fear, stress, or anxiety, with school counselors and wellness teams ready to assist.

In addition to emotional support, PUSD is collaborating with its Food Services team to explore alternative meal options, ensuring that no student goes without essential nutrition during the summer session.

For further assistance, the district is directing families to visit pusd.us/immigrationresources, where a variety of legal and wellness resources are available. The site is intended to help families navigate uncertain times with guidance and support.

Dr. Blanco concluded her message with a note of solidarity: “We are in this together. Thank you for your trust, your strength, and your unwavering partnership.”
