The improvements are part of a broader facilities capital program funded by PUSD bond proceeds. The district said the work is intended to create safe, modern and inspiring spaces that support student learning, growth and play.

In August, the PUSD Board of Education unanimously approved an update to the district’s Facilities Capital Program, along with related budget allocations and project schedule adjustments. The update reflects the “effective systems” priority included in the district’s 2026–27 goals and outlines construction and renovation projects now underway.

According to the district, 34 campuses have active or completed capital projects. Across the district, 119 projects have been completed, including 10 major school modernizations and nine restroom and utility upgrades that address health and safety needs.

Other visible improvements include new athletic fields, classrooms and outdoor learning spaces. The district said the projects reflect its commitment to providing every student with a safe and supportive place to learn.

The work continues under the district’s 2026–27 theme: “The Power of Us: Forward Together.”
