PUSD Board member Scott Phelps is launching a fundraiser for local school district’s athletics programs.
By News Desk
Most district families cannot afford necessary items like player equipment and clothing, nor can they afford to make donations for team equipment and supplies or for supplements to the low coaching pay. If the team does well, there are also additional transportation costs in the playoffs. All of these require money.
Several PUSD supporters, including Mr. Phelps, will be riding the Cool Breeze Century Ride, a long-distance bike event on August 20, 2022. Scott is asking the community to make a per mile pledge for the fundraiser. He intends to ride the full 100 miles. If you pledge $1 per mile and he rides 100 miles, you would make a $100 donation. If you pledge $0.50 per mile, you would make a $50 donation. If you pledge $0.25 per mile, you would make a $25 donation. If you pledge $0.10 per mile, you would make a $10 donation. You may reply to Mr. Phelps email with your pledge amount per mile!
All funds raised will be donated to the Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF). When you fulfill your pledge after August 20th, you can make your check out to the Pasadena Educational Foundation. To keep track of the pledges fulfilled, send the check at this address:
