The teachers union’s and Pasadena Unified’s district’s bargaining teams have announced the conclusion of negotiations for the 2023-24 School Year.

The district said that highlights included in the agreements are:
- Effective July 1, 2023, a 10% pay raise on all salary schedules, including supplemental pay.
- An increase to $3000 for the yearly stipend which will include all Special Education teachers.
- Procedures for responding to classroom temperatures that fall outside of CalOSHA recommended ranges.
- Up to $1000 deductible to vandalized or damaged cars parked on or near school property.
- Agreement to collaborate on the California Community Schools Framework.
- A 5% one-time bonus to all Child Development teachers holding a Bachelor’s degree.
- Agreement to pay for the increased cost of Health and Welfare Benefits.
- Providing each classroom or major work area with appropriate equipment necessary for completing job duties.
The district indicated that the complete tentative agreements shall be provided to the teachers union members and the PUSD school board for ratification.
