Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD) will host its first vaccine clinic for individuals age 12 and over on May 14, at the First Baptist Church Pasadena.

Sixty youth are expected to be vaccinated on Friday. Parents were invited to reserve appointments for their children through the state vaccination website at myturn.ca.gov. A parent or guardian must accompany children to their appointments.
PPHD will administer the Pfizer vaccine, which was endorsed this week for use in adolescents age 12 to 15 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. The vaccination event will take place on May 14, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Pasadena, 75 N. Marengo Ave.
Pasadena Public Health Department Director and Health Officer Dr. Ying-Ying Goh will be available to take questions from the media along with Pastor Gretchen Saalbach, First Baptist Church Pasadena.
As of May 12, 2021, 62% of Pasadena residents age 16 and older are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and 80% have received at least one dose.
